New wheels for the Passat
I hit a pothole and bent my front BBS wheel. It was only $100 more to buy 4 non-stock wheels vs buying only 1 stock BBS replacement and I wanted to black out the Passat.
Tonight’s Beer – Howl Winter Seasonal by Magic Hat

Howl Winter Seasonal by Magic Hat
Marketing Spin
“Born of dark, cold and snow in the MARROW of the North East’s longest night, HOWL comes in on WAILING winds with winter-weary eyes, burning holes in sunless shadows. In it’s darkened depths our inner voids are warmed. HOWL will remain until your bones are thawed, your spirit is freed… and until there is no longer a NEED…”
I was anxious to try this beer because it’s a winter ale with a low alcohol content with only 4.6%. I enjoy winter ales but they can be quite strong.
The Howl pours as black like a stout with chocolate and coffee aromas.
Like the smell, there are chocolate and coffee flavors with hints of roasted malt and smoke. With only being 4.6%, there is not a strong alcohol presence.
It’s a decent beer but something is missing. Maybe winter ales need to be 7+% to get a true taste. And coming from Vermont, it was hard to give it a chance.
